indigo ski trip
Indigo Ski Trip
On Thursday the Indigo Room is going to go on a ski trip to Rainbow Ski Field.
The Indigo Room has been raising money for this event .
The Indigo students needsto be at school at 6:30am and we leave at 7:00am to go to the ski field.
We will all get a ski lesson each.
We are all looking forward to it and there will be good weather all day, (we hope!).
We will take a shuttle bus up to the ski field, because of the icey conditions.

We can have much as stuff as we want. We will be presenting these at science fair at the end of term. By Hannah & Willow

hydrolics and science fair
HYDRAULICS
in the Indigo Room, we have been learning about Hydraulics and science. Last week and the week before we have been making Lifting Jacks. Indigo Room and Room three made them in buddies, not many of people have finished yet but we will finish them.
SCIENCE FAIR
Last week and this week we have also been designing our science fair project. Indigo Room and Room three are making marble tracks or making a simple machine that can move a marble. We also need to make a board about all the data that we collected. All of us are coming up with amazing designs and they are all going to look really cool when they are finished.

Rippa Tournament (yr 5-6)
On Tuesday the 6th of June 2017, the year 5-6 girls and boys that play rippa went to a rippa tournament.
The people that went were Mila, Tawn, Lauren, Hannah, Riley, Henry H, Jordan, Liam, Pipiri and Louie, and the subs were Isla and Jacob. We all hope that they do really well and represent our school.
It would be really cool if they won, but they still would have tried really hard if they didn’t win. They trained lots and did lots of hard work to be a good team and work together as a good team.
We all wish them the best. Ngatimoti won the social rippa tournament.

Class Trip To Museum And Virtual Limits
Class Trip To Museum And Virtual Limits
On Wednesday the Indigo room and room three kids went to the museum and Virtual Limits Wall in Nelson. We where split into two groups, one group went to the museum first and the other group went to Virtual Limits, it was a really fun class trip.
On the way into town the bus broke down and one of the revision mirrors broke off, so the bus was 30 minutes late. One of the activities at the museum was to build a small, wooden bridge, every group completed it.

Indigo Room got learning books called Brainy Bunch, that help us learn about the body. We also got stickers from Harold. We got to see Harold and he is just a puppet. He tells us jokes to us every time.

Car Stopping Demo
On Monday, Ngatimoti School had some special people come in to tech us about what will happen if a car is coming at three different speeds. One is 20kph, one at 50kph, and one at 60kph. The first one went three meters over, the second went eight meters over and the third one flattened plastic high school student!
The older kids went into Mot to do the same thing, but with different
schools there as well.
They told us that any car passing a school bus must go 20kph.
ARE YOU GOING OVER THIS SPEED?
IF SO SLOW DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Friday the 24th of March, the school council thought of having a school triathlon.
There were options to do individual or in a group of three. You also got more points for doing it individually, for your house. Blue team ended up winning, but all the other teams did really well and it was a close score between all the teams.
The house colours were red, blue, green and yellow.
Not everyone did it, some people were away.
Student council got to choose what house colours people were in.
Everyone was in their house colours to show what team they were in.
Big thanks to the student council for making this possible and thanks to the teachers.
