Rippa Tournament (yr 5-6)
On Tuesday the 6th of June 2017, the year 5-6 girls and boys that play rippa went to a rippa tournament.
The people that went were Mila, Tawn, Lauren, Hannah, Riley, Henry H, Jordan, Liam, Pipiri and Louie, and the subs were Isla and Jacob. We all hope that they do really well and represent our school.
It would be really cool if they won, but they still would have tried really hard if they didn’t win. They trained lots and did lots of hard work to be a good team and work together as a good team.
We all wish them the best. Ngatimoti won the social rippa tournament.

Class Trip To Museum And Virtual Limits

Class Trip To Museum And Virtual Limits

On Wednesday the Indigo room and room three kids went to the museum and Virtual Limits Wall in Nelson. We where split into two groups, one group went to the museum first and the other group went to Virtual Limits, it was a really fun class trip.

On the way into town the bus broke down and one of the revision mirrors broke off, so the bus was 30 minutes late. One of  the activities at the museum was to build a small, wooden bridge, every group completed it.

                         Car Stopping Demo

On Monday, Ngatimoti School had some special people come in to tech us about what will happen if a car is coming at three different speeds. One is 20kph, one at 50kph, and one at 60kph. The first one went three meters over, the second went eight meters over and the third one flattened plastic high school student!

The older kids went into Mot to do the same thing, but with different
schools there as well.

They told us that any car passing a school bus must go 20kph.

ARE YOU GOING OVER THIS SPEED?
IF SO SLOW DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday, March 28, 2017

On Friday the 24th of March, the school council thought of having a school triathlon.
There were options to do individual or in a group of three. You also got more points for doing it individually, for your house. Blue team ended up winning, but all the other teams did really well and it was a close score between all the teams.
The house colours were red, blue, green and yellow.
Not everyone did it, some people were away.
Student council got to choose what house colours people were in.
Everyone was in their house colours to show what team they were in.

Big thanks to the student council for making this possible and thanks to the teachers.
