Indigo Rooms Flax Challenge
The Indigo has been set  a flax challenge from Mrs Turner.  We have to make natural chairs that hang off trees. We were put into colour groups. The colours were red, yellow and green. First we had to make lots of rope out of flax so we can hang the chairs up. We are allowed to bring in things like bamboo from home. We need to hang the chair in a place where you can see the sky for Matariki.

Gymnastic's Festival

On Tuesday the 19th of June, there is going to be a Gymnastic's Festival for years 4, 5 and 6 students of all of the Motueka region. In the competition you have to do skipping, beam, boys strength routine, beat box/cross vault, pyramid, group floor routine and individule floor routine.

the boys do the strength routine and every other routine apart from beam and the girls do beam and every other routine apart from the strength routine. You do every routine one at a time, and you stay with your group. There are huge mats there, well they aren't exactly mats, they are kind of like spongy mats with carpety stuff on top.

In our class we have 6 groups, named in the Maori way, so it is like, Tahi, Rua, Toru, Wha, Rima, Ono. In each group we have a group leader to lead the group.
