This week the winter tournament was postponed, which was sad. 

Last week we went to the Suter art Gallery and it was fun, because we made a cool clay waka.

We’re also making a hut/house depending on our house colour. We have to use at least 10 or more pieces of bamboo, And a tarpaulin.

 A few weeks ago, we went to the Suter art gallery. We saw clay art and made clay art.   It was so much fun.

We ate lunch at the playground by the pool.We saw ducks too.

A few days later, there was a flood in Nelson. Leah’s Gran picked up the clay art today. It looks good.

This week, all week, we are making huts in  our house groups. Yellow are making it on the top field, red have half the bottom field each and green have the Rathgar House area. 

Later this week our class are going on a trip to see local houses. We are going to go see  a log cabin, a yurt and maybe a mud house

 On Monday our class went to the Suter Art Gallery. We looked at cool art by Stevei Houkamu and musical instruments she made out of clay.

We got to make a Waka with our ancestors or Mum or Dad in it out of clay, based on her art.

Bark Bay Trip

 We went to Bark Bay last week.

We went on a fungi hunt,we also had a sand castle competition and Beau, Liam and I won. We also went on a fungi hunt on the way to the waterfall.

On the way to the waterfall we also saw a Kaka or two and there was one at the hut as well. I think his name was TJ.
