Visiting St. James

 On the first day of school this term, we to St. James Church.

We learnt a lot about it even that Lauren got married in the church and that we have a seat for the Beatsons  in the church.

We got ANZAC biscuits too. It was great!

On Monday the 3rd April Ngatimoti school went to Kaiteriteri for the Waka ama. Room 5 and Room 3 left at 9 o'clock and Room 4 and Room 1 left at 11 o’clock.On the waka we learnt a haka. I had the job of counting.Each 14 paddles I yelled HUP and each person would do 2 more paddles and then swap sides from the inside of the waka to outside.We also had 2 waka races one waka race was with everyone  on the waka and the other race was with just the kids. Our waka won the race with all the people and we came third with just the kids!
