Week 3 Term 3

This week we made book marks for a school competition.

We had Mr Hepburn and got to play Bull Rush and do races. It was really fun! We had to do a math test and we had 8 minutes to do it.

On Friday we came to school dressed up in a non-fiction book theme.

Week 1 Term3

  Class Blog

Recently the water levels have been rising and canceling school for Monday, also flooding the roads, making the bus unable to get to bus stops.

Thankfully, Mrs Milnes has come back to teach us for the rest of the year.

The Tokyo Olympics started a few days ago, New Zealand thankfully won a bronze medal, we also came 8th in sailing out of 34 people!

Soon, The winter tournament will begin, along with Band Quest with our two wonderful bands, Sugar Rush and (they don’t have a name yet)

Next week, we are having a Matariki Kite Festival, each kite made out of the same material.

These first  two week have been great for NZ when it comes to the Tokyo Olympics. Rounded up, we now have 11 medals: 4 gold, 3 silver , and 4 bronze.

One of our latest bronze medals is from Valerie Adams in shot put. She was highly pleased to have done well. She said that she wanted to dedicate the bronze medal towards her two children.

Kites!

Room 3 & Room 4 have been making kites for our Matariki kite festival. The kites are made out of only natural materials, such as: Harakeke (flax), Bulrush, Bamboo, sticks, and many other things.
