Blog Update

Last week the whole school did two dances each for the adults with Omar & Mark, after two weeks of practise.

ROOm 4 did a showdance to This Is Me and a salsa, others did hiphop and their second dances were Lindy Hop, a Samba etc 

Room 4 did a spooky challenge to end the week before Halloween. Everyone teamed up in a group from 1-3 and took something that was not scary, like a pen and made it scary.

  

We started learning about Parihaka and its people and how the people of Parihaka refused to move off the road when they were invaded. They got the children to dance up to them with flowers and fresh bread, the soldiers decided not to shoot, because they were worried it would make them look bad. We started doing some art about Parihaka with Mt. Taranaki and three white feathers for peace.
