CC17 FISH IN A TREE - Y5/6, W4: Tasks & Questions
W4: Pages 119-159 (Chapter 22-29)
TASKS - Choose from the following...
1. Draw a picture of Ally standing outside a huge glass box and everyone else is inside it. OR draw a fish in a wire cage. OR draw Ally's Mind Movie of a Fish trying to climb a tree.
2. Write a poem about 'Fish in a Tree' to enter in Mr Daniel's poetry competition.
3. Mr Daniels said, "Everyone is smart in different ways. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life thinking that it's stupid." Make a poster displaying this quote or make up a quote of your own.
4. Make a colour wheel like Ally did in class.
5. RESEARCH - Ally talks about the Eiffel Tower. Research it and present your findings anyway you want.
6. HANDS-ON - Make a trophy for 'Best answer of the Year'.
7. WRITING - Complete Mr Daniel's assignment and write about your favourite fictional character - a person you consider to be a hero.
8. VOCABULARY - Find the meanings of the following words: Uncouth, medieval, extensive, visionary, scoundrel and consultant.
